Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

It Dehumidifies

JohnZ2023 9/12/2023

After the 3rd day of operation, my basement was down to 45% humidity. One thing that did annoy me was the black rubber washer on the hose drain cap was missing and I found water on the floor after an hour of operation. I happen to have one so I am good for now.

Incredible Pump Feature

MOVER1 9/12/2023

This unit is very efficient and surprisingly quiet. The best feature is the pump feature since my drain is a little elevated from the floor level. It offers wonderful peace of mind to know that even if we are away from the home it will continue to operate and provide a comfortable dry environment.

Very early on but so far so good

DeeEss 9/4/2023

Got this to replace my 70 pint frigidaire dehumidifier that worked non stop for 10 years in my basement. It started icing over but there's no affordable way to responsibly tap into the system to capture, leak test, and refill as everything still works. It likely just has a tiny leak that took 10 years to drop.I was nervous reading all the reviews of the new ones with cheap thin walled copper and poor manufacturing processes resulting in leaking evaporators and condensors so I got an extended warranty from elsewhere. The unit is the same size as the old one and while its only a 50 pint, it seems to dry things out as quickly. Its a bit quieter and has a drain pump which is convenient. However its pumping through a 1/4 OD line and it takes 15 minutes to drain the tank. It seems to run more frequently than the old one but I do have it set for lower humidity. Only time will tell if this suffers early mortality

EC Code renders unit inoperable

AD H 8/11/2023

Unfortunately, feel compelled to leave a 1 star review due to the dreaded "EC" code. I can unplug and plug back in, but the EC code comes back and shuts the unit down in a few hours. The unit worked great for 2 years, but I feel like 2 years is not sufficient life-span for this type of appliance. Is there a way to repair this? I would really rather not have to bear the cost of a new appliance, nor the landfill impact of throwing out a faulty one.

Not a Reliable Product-Lost Business

MikeSu 8/3/2023

I purchased this unit 2 years ago after I had an LG unit break after 2 years of ownership. Because of my problems with LG I went to Frigidaire. I did research online and read a number of generally positive reviews. However, after about a year and a half of owning the Frigidaire unit I noticed ice forming on the back of the filter. This is generally an issue attributed to the compressor. This ice buildup eventually got bad enough to call Frigidaire and submit a warranty ticket. The ticket was submitted at the end of June 2023 with the appropriate paper work attached. This included original receipt and serial information. A confirmation from Frigidaire was sent to my inbox and a new unit/solution was promised within 10days. It has been over a month so I called back to check on the status of my submission. It turns out my submission was never addressed and the new rep needed to take my information all over again. On top of that he told me the warranty had expired (it was only 1 year). The service rep said that there was nothing more they could do. Moving forward I cannot count on a company that will not stand by their product. I am leaving this review to say I am disappointed that I spent the $330 dollars on a unit that only lasted 2 years (max). I do not recommend this experience or purchasing from Frigidaire. Moreover, they have lost my business for any other appliance purchases I need in the future. In conclusion, I would like to offer a solution on which company manufactures a reliable dehumidifier for high prices, however I have not found that brand yet.

Very short life span before error code EC. (Non-fixable)

TS70 8/1/2023

Didn't even last more than 2 seasons before it started throwing the EC error code which Frigidaire says is internal/sealed and can not be repaired. The 4 yr. warranty on sealed unit does NOT apply to this even though WALMART website and description says it does. BEWARE.

This is a magnificent machine

OperaLover 7/28/2023

In the past 50 or so years, I™€™ve owned six dehumidifiers. Some inexpensive and a few in the one-thousand dollar range. So far this unit has them all beat. We™€™re fortunate to have a basement sump that we can drain effluent directly into and this unit does it beautifully. Fundamentally, we dehumidifying roughly 1600 sq. ft., 1200 of which is a finished and fully furnished basement. The remainder is cellar space. The water dripping from cold water plumbing was making a big mess but after two days of running this unit, all was dry and continues to be. The doors in the finished section no operate properly and can now be opened and closed easily. The unit is quiet and does not take up space. One of our best purchasing decisions!

Well known EC error code in less than a year of purchase date.

Cool Steve 7/26/2023

I purchased on May 7, 2022 Frigidaire Dehumidifier, High Humidity 50 Pint Capacity with Built In Pump, in White Model number: FFAP5033W1 Worked great for 3 months last summer. Yesterday (May 5, 2023) I turned it on for the first time this year and it runs a short time and shuts off displaying the EC code. I went through all of the troubleshooting steps listed and it repeatably shuts off and displays the same EC code. This unit is super clean (looks brand new) and was only used for 3 months last summer. Today I tried to contact Frigidaire directly for a replacement and of course there is no way to contact them on the weekends. Monday would put it over the 1 year warranty and from what I have read, Frigidaire will deny the warranty if that happens. I want this dehumidifier replaced under warranty. Especially since it is a VERY well known problem with Frigidaire dehumidifiers. See for yourself on Frigidaire's own website in the reviews of how many people have experienced the exact same EC error code in a very short time of owning it. $300 is a lot of money for an appliance that only lasted a couple of months. I hope that your customer service is much better than what I have read.

PnCT 7/25/2023

The dehumidifier does its job very well. We bought this to replace an old Frigidaire that worked well for many years. I am surprised that removing the tank and pouring from it have not been improved. The pump will eliminate that problem when we use it, but in some situations we will still need to pull out the tank. It is difficult for my wife to do and awkward for me to do. And why can't the tank pour from one place. Invariably toward the end some water comes out from the top. Still, I would recommend this dehumidifier, and I would buy it again.

We love our Frigidaire dehumidifier for our very large finished basement. It was really not that comfortable until we got this unit. We especially like that it has a pump and drains itself through a small tube that we ran out a window. The noise is minimal and it very quickly brings the humidity down to whatever level you set. Having a timer that automatically turns it off is extremely convenient. We highly recommend this dehumidifier.

Quiet + Effective

SWestleyj60 7/15/2023

My Frigidaire dehumidifier works exactly as it should - The humidity level in our finished basement was 74% when I installed the Frigidaire and set it to "Constant". Within an hour, it had dropped the indoor humidity level by more than 10%, and within 12 hours, the humidity had dropped to a reasonable 45%. The machine is quiet, the pump works efficiently (although it's a little bit louder than I'd like), and the controls are easy to use. Frankly, I think it's aesthetically pleasing as well, and doesn't detract from the room's decor at all. I would not only buy this machine again, but I'd highly recommend it to others looking for a high-value dehumidifier.

Performs well when new; reliability seems questionable (not unique to Frigidaire)

KM123 7/14/2023

This is my second unit, which hopefully will last longer than the initial one. The first one worked well for about 15 months but suddenly died after a substantial refrigerant leak, which stained my carpet. Unit still looks new but is not serviceable (it seems most residential dehumidifiers fall into this category - i.e. not serviceable if sealed system has a leak). To make things worse, many township electronics recycling centers no longer accept dehumidifiers since refrigerant is categorized as a hazardous substance. Need to pay to dispose of at an authorized facility which can safely remove refrigerant before salvaging parts for recycling or landfill.

Works as Advertised

FocusPocus 7/13/2023

Needed a dehumidifier for our house during the summer and reviews for this looked excellent. Seems like a very well-made product. Followed the instructions and left it in continuous high mode for the first three days and it removed 3 bins of 50 pints of water. Not sure why volume is measured in pints rather than liters, seems dumb. Americans understand liters just fine. Used it for a week and it worked great and air in house felt crisper. The high setting is a bit loud but no louder than a A/C window unit on a higher fan speed. The low setting is much quieter and we ran it during the night so it wasn™€™t disrupting during the day. It turned off when it was filled as expected. The unit is a little heavy to pick up if you™€™re trying to move it between floors but it has rollers if you™€™re moving it on a flat surface. Don™€™t drop the water bucket lol, it™€™s heavy. Draining is easy, just pour. Used it in garage and it decreased the humidity in there by 15-20% based on my hygrometer in a couple hours so it™€™s plenty effective. We™€™ll see what long term use is like. It does warm up the air some as a dehumidifier should so just be wary of temperature rise in your room. Stop until air cools down with A/C or run A/C while it™€™s running.

Ok but who designed this??

Binc 7/13/2023

First night it collected 2.11 gallons from a very humid basement running on continuous/low fan speed. But I have issues with its stupid design.Apparently all new dehumidifiers are designed to ™€œlook™€ sleek by putting the vent to the back and having a solid white front broken only by the line of the bucket. - very poor idea. Older models, when placed near a wall, worked fine with the vent and bucket access unobstructed at the front. But if you want to put this new design against a wall (best to have it out in the open, but people will always push it against a wall at some point) especially in smaller spaces like a hallway.) The vent needs to be unobstructed - the back side (where the vent is) needs to face out but it looks bad, cord is now on the wrong side, hose connection sticks out, etc.) - and then the bucket is on the opposite side towards the wall so you have to turn it around to empty the bucket. I saw a review with a photo where it was backed up to a furnace with the sleek looking front facing out - even though they gave favorable rating, they weren™€™t aware there is not adequate air flow to the vent in the back. This will decrease efficiency and reduce the life of the unit. The "splash guard" causes more spills when trying to empty it than without a splash guard. And the bucket fills ALL the way to the brim - it spills when trying to remove the bucket from the unit and then upon pouring it out- such a messy joke! This is something that should be so easy to fix. Also, the low fan speed isn™€™t low enough - (167 cfm versus 155 cfm on whirlpool). Condensation collects better at lower speeds. Wish it was slower - I will never be using the higher speeds. Best if it runs longer or continuously at slow fan speed than shorter times at hi fan speeds. I wish designers would actually use what they design.

Easy to use. The pump feature is very nice, never have to sorry about emptying the tank.

Poor quality

Unhappy54321 7/5/2023

Purchased in November 2021. Dreaded EC code appeared in late 2022. Unit is dead. Waste of $300. Don™€™t buy this unit.
