had it mebbe 36 months.. n started squeeling, after a few more uses it stopped, then mebbe 5 months later it started the squeeling again.. another 4-5 months the thumping ensued like the barrell rollers were goin bad..(prolly issue at 36) the warranty had already expired.. have had it total 5 years now n it sounds like a 100 man peg leg pirate race. paid 800+ dollars for somethin that barely lasted 5 years and livin in a condo.. i let em know.. samsung kept ya awake.. sorry.

we have replaced the heating element at least 3 times. it recently started making a noise like there were a bunch of shoes in it. (which there definitely is not) there is a huge chunk of metal out of the drum. how/when? we have no idea. very soon we will be replacing all of our appliances and will not be buying samsung anything

this dryer is a max of 5 yrs old . i have had to replace drum wheels and studs within 2 yrs.(they have no ball bearings) ,idle pulley, belt, and heating element. and now the motor!!!... my last dryer lasted over 25 yrs. i am an electrician and there is not that much you should have to replace on a dryer if its built right. there is not that many working parts..and it should last more than 2 yrs before replacing parts. cost of parts so far is well over $300 . it's a good thing i know how to do the repairs myself or it would have cost a fortune. i bought samsung because i thought it was the best. i am researching other brands now.

this dryer is a model #dv45h7000ewa2, serial#0aha5bbha02334x. i bought this very expensive dryer three(3) years ago and on the third anniversary the lights came on but nothing worked. i had a very expensive ten(10) year warranty so after one and a half weeks later a repairman came to fix it. he explained to me why these dryers break down so soon was instead of making part # 002245853 & 002244186 out of metal you cheaped out and made it out of plastic. so for an extra dollar in materials and manufacturing i have to get this thing repaired every three(3) years. really!!!!.

i have had this dryer for 4 years i clean filter with every use but the design of the filter area allows the lint to still go through. my heating element burnt out after only 4 years causing the dryer to no longer heat up and there was lint all in the motor and heating element and in places where lint shouldn't get to. worked really good but this is a design flaw in my opinion that will cause this dryer to need repair a lot sooner than it should.

manufacturer warranty just expired a month ago, we've had it for exactly one year and a month. dryer drum won't stop spinning unless the door is left open. there is no heat. do not waste your money.

We purchased a Samsung washer and dryer three years ago when we built our new home. Just one year after owning both appliances, the heating element on our dryer went out. This was right after the warranty "expired" of course. As new as our dryer was, this should not have happened. Now 1.5 years later, the idler has gone bad. Another 250.00 repair. Never as a 3.5 year old appliance should these issues have occurred. Quality is VERY poor on Samsung appliances. Highly recommend other reputable brand names for household appliances. I called to see if there is anything Samsung could do to help... the answer is no because it is out of warranty (as I expected). VERY disappointed, Samsung. Poor products and functionality. (This goes along with our Samsung washer that was part of a recall a year and a half ago because of a major malfunction that was reported (lid flying off). So we participated in the recall because it was a safety issue. A proactive repair was made by a Samsung endorses technician. However the washer now has issues spinning... it stops spinning at the slightest off balance load. It is a pain to have to keep restarting it to get it to finish.
Sadly... I'll say it again... DO NOT purchase Samsung household appliances. Nothing but issues since we purchased them. So disappointed and much money spent.

I have had this dryer not even 2 years and began hearing a thumping noise. When I checked the dryer there was a big hole in the dryer drum. Looks as if something went right through the wall. Samsung support is no help at all. They sent an appliance repair guy to look at it. The repair man agreed unless we dried rocks there was no reason that should have happened! And no we don't in case your wondering. After he called the damage into Samsung and showed them the damage through video Samsung refuses to fix the dryer. Their response was "that is physical damage and we do not cover physical damage." Horrible service and horrible product. Doing a simple internet search I found several of the same reviews but Samsung won't recall what is clearly some form of a factory defect that causes the damage.

We had this dryer for 3 years and the computer board went out causing us to get a new dryer. Not worth the money if you have to replace it for every 3 years. And they only give you a 1 year warranty.....of course. We ended up having to pay $115 for someone to come out and tell us it was broken and then we had to buy a new dryer. DO NOT BUY THIS TERRIBLE PRODUCT.

I purchased this dryer in December 2016. In January 2018, the dryer was no longer heating. I had a repairman in today and the heating element was bad. $165 dollars later, it is fixed. I was told that this was an issue with Samsung dryers. My last dryer was a Kenmore and it lasted about 20 years. Very disappointed in this product.

We've had this dryer for less than 4 years. Wish it had a drum light and less noisy. The heating element had gone kaput as well. I was expecting more from a Samsung product, but maybe it has to do with the lower end price. Will be investing in a Maytag or Whirlpool instead.

Bought this dryer and used it one year and then when I moved to our new house and installed it, it wouldn't turn on at all, I'm told some kind of sensor went out and has to be replaced and now have to deal with that. It's not worth the buy for me if after one year I have to start replacing parts . Not very durable, next time I will be looking for a more reliable brand

I bought this dryer in November of 2016 and it worked great for a little over a year. It eventually stopped heating up which seems to be a common issue according to other reviews. Unfortunately it's out of warranty so I'll eventually call a repair man when I have the extra money. Until then I will be drying our clothes at the laundromat. They need to fix this issue in future models.

I bought Samsung dryer model #DV45H7000EW-A2 22 months ago. Dryer worked well up until last week. Idler belt tensioner pulley roller broke off pulley arm. I did not purchase a warranty.. Huge mistake. Was able to repair myself. Thank god for youtube. I was a bit disappointed with quality of product.

Before buying this dryer I was a Samsung Lover! Noticed a thumping noise while drying a few days ago, today I realize that there is a decent size hole in the drum. Bought this a year and a half ago, so warranty just expired. I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I GOOGLED AND REALIZED MANY OTHERS HAVING SAME ISSUES !!!.
$400+ to fix. Go buy a low end used dryer from the goodwill before you waste money on this one, it should last you more than the year and half mine lasted for me..
just in case you were wondering, It was installed by store we purchased at, and we did not overuse or abuse it. The drum of the dryer looks strong! But there is a hole in the back where the back and side of the drum meet. Looks like something ripped thru it. Very poorly made. Always seemed like it took too long to dry to. miss that used Whirlpool that I had for years before I thought I upgraded to this one.
If you need something dependable, look elsewhere.

I've had this dryer for approximately two years. The thermal fuse blows out constantly. I've replaced it and the heating element but still the same problem. This is a common problem but no recall. Last Samsung appliance I will ever buy.

I bought this dryer 4 years ago. He had completely gone dead. Repairman came out and said it was the circuit board and it would cost 400 to 500 dollar to replace. How is that for price gouging? Instead I will go buy another brand that will last me 10 to 15 years.

My dryer is less than 2 years old and is already making horrible noises. It screeches, clunks and makes a grinding noise. We saved our money to buy a matching set and were so excited to buy something that we thought was a quality product. Do NOT waste your money! Samsung will not stand behind their product. If you google their product you will see that everyone seems to be having the same problem with their dryer and it's after the warranty is up.

Bought this dryer on 11/16 having great expectations since my other appliances are also Samsung. Well before the year warranty was up, the dryer stopped heating and was squealing. Supposedly repaired. Not even a year from that repair, the dryer stops heating and squealing again! Both repair people said it was 2 different things. At this point the 1 year warranty was over, so Samsung agreed to pay for the parts and I was responsible for the labor. So another repair man sent and replaced different parts. Said it was going to work great. Sure enough that evening, the dryer was taking twice as long to dry one load. Tried to explain to Samsung, this has to be a faulty dryer just as if it was a LEMON vehicle. Created another repair ticket. Repair man came out and said it was my plug in that was causing the dryer to squeal and not dry efficiently. Never have I ever had an issue with my plug. Had a hard time understanding the rep and at this point I am already fed up with Samsung and looking into buying a different brand of dryer. I will agree that the dryer works great when it is functioning properly.

I have this dryer for two years, and now the product is not heating up! TWO YEARS! The only reason we changed our dryer was a larger capacity drum. Called Samsung to get help and was connected to a local repair center who was so arrogant, that I possibly could not go ahead with the service call. One thing is for sure, never going to buy another Samsung product for life.
