Touchpad broken after <2 years

very nice looking range but the touchpad just randomly stopped working after less than two years (so of course just out of warranty). we tried resetting the power several times but no success. if i could do it over again i would never, ever buy samsung.

temperature issues since day 1. dramatic fluctuation with heat consistently.
enamel started flaking off the bottom after 8 months of use, am i told it is cosmetic, but particles fly around when cooking and can get into food. nothing has been put on the surface to cause and damage. disappointing experience.

the knobs on the stove break easily and are 75 dollars to replace. mind you there are 6 knobs on the stove. that's 450 dollars on top of the 1800 that was already paid to purchase the stove. not to mention the inside of the stove is bubbling up and peeling in some areas. i also purchased the extended warranty and none of my issues are covered. this is ridiculous at how expensive these products are to be so poorly made. shame on you guys!!!

we ran the cleaning cycle for the first time and the unit failed. nothing will come on anymore. i checked and there is power to the unit. no help on this defect from customer service. they say the unit is out of warranty and they are not responsible. such a disappointment. i won't be buying samsung again. as a builder i specify and recommend appliances all of the time. i won't be recommending samsung.

i bought this range because of the name samsung and the looks. what a mistake it is, the grates have all rusted, the knobs turn on when i reach over to the microwave and almost caught my clothes on fire. the oven temperature varies all the time. my guests are shocked of the condition of this range so soon.

I was a little skeptical about this range at first there were things that I nitpicked at like the knobs don't feel as solid as I would have thought. But using this range is another question. It is easy to control temps on the burners and the few times I have used the oven the convectioning feature is nice as I have noticed my cook times can follow directions more accurately. This thing continues to surprise in a positive way.

This Samsung slide-in range is very nice, it has a beautiful stainless steel finish. I love the layout of the burners and find that the griddle in the middle is great for frying bacon. The oven capacity is nice, the oven heats very quickly, which is a huge upgrade from my last oven. I also like how it displays the ovens heat. The wifi feature is just ok.
The biggest downside to this range are how sensitive the buttons and knobs are. It is way too easy to bump and adjust without meaning to.

The range has six knobs, which five of them operate the burners and the other one is for the oven light. Each burner has its own output. The burners can accommodate various sized pots and pans. The ice blue digital display is nice and bright. The convection fan cooks the food evenly and you don't even hear the fan on. I find the convection oven to be effective and consistent. You can cook with or without the convection. The interior oven racks are adjustable. The oven features a bake, convection, roast, easy cook, slow cook, dehydrate, bread proof, keep warm, broil, self-cleaning, cooking time, delay timer, start/set & off/clear. It also has a child safety lock and sabbath mode. The self- cleaning oven is a favorite, just push the button sit back and the oven cleans itself. The Samsung Gas Range is a beautiful range with a modern and stylish design.
It is easy to clean and I appreciate the fact that the burners are black this prevents the soot from cooking from being visible.
I have cooked pasta and chicken soup and the performance was good. It is fast to reach the desired temperature and quick and easy to clean up. I only had to use a napkin with soapy water to clean it since the grease does not stick to the range surface. The gridle is also a very convenient accessory when entertaining guests. It makes it easy to keep food warm at a low temperature on the range.
I am cooking much more than in the past and enjoying it with such a nice looking range that cooks fast and can be cleaned so easily.
I also appreciate the fact that it has a Wi-Fi connection that allows me to check remotely if the burners are off which brings me peace of mind. The gas pipe was right behind the range so the range could not be pushed all the way against the back wall leaving a 2 inch gap between the range and the wall. After having a plumber re-route the gas pipe, the range could be pushed all the way to the back wall. It looks great!

We've finally upgraded range in our new house to Samsung NX58M9420S. Another Samsung product that met my expectations. The modern design fits the other stainless still appliances perfectly. I've been using the range for over few weeks already and can tell this is the best one I ever had. Gas burners heat up fast and provide lots of BTU. The middle griddle is removable but there was no need to removing it since its great for frying eggs for breakfast. I liked the fact that it's a part of Samsung's SmartThings ecosystem and I was able to add it to the rest of my smart appliances. My family enjoys it a lot not only visually but also by cooking on it.

So far, we have had this 5.8 cu. ft. Samsung slide-in range (NX58M9420SS) for about one month and I love it! It was a big upgrade over my old Whirlpool freestanding range.
Compared to my old range, the front-control knobs on the Samsung range make it much easier to control without having to reach over a hot surface. Additionally, the cooktop surface of the Samsung range overlaps with cabinetry on the two sides so that food and crumbs can't drip down the sides like it can with my old freestanding range. This alone saves me at least half an hour a week for cleaning my kitchen.
Another big plus of the Samsung range over my old range is that the Samsung range has powerful burners. Both front burners are over 15,000 BTU which means they are powerful enough to quickly fry and boil food. The removable coated griddle provides an extra cooking surface. This is especially useful when a large cooking area is required.
I love how smart this Samsung range is. I like the front touch panel that comes with a large digital display. There are many build-in options to choose from, such as bake, roast, slow cook, dehydrate, etc. What's more, you can even control and monitor the range on your smart phone! On the Samsung SmartThing app, I can easily check and adjust the oven functions, set timers and even get real time notifications.
Overall, I like my new Samsung range and I would surely recommend it to everyone.

We are absolutely astounded with the improvements this range offers over our 12 year old range. The digital controls are incredibly simple and accurate. If you wanted to bake at 347 degrees, it will do exactly 347. There's also not a preset arbitrary amount of time for the preheat. It monitors the ACTUAL temperature and notifies you when it reaches that temperature. The cook top has tons of space, easy to clean and heats surprisingly fast. Even the smallest burner will boil a large pot of water relatively quickly.

The difference is like night and day. Our old stove was more like a hotplate compared to the sleek awesomeness of our new NX58M9420SS 5.8 cu. ft. Slide-in Gas Range with Convection in Stainless Steel. So much nicer visually it is a great addition to our kitchen and makes dinner time a much more pleasant experience. Not only did we pick up an extra burner on top (out old stove had only 4 burners), but on Sunday mornings we use the griddle to whip up diner-inspired breakfast sandwiches & breakfast tacos. Going from electric burners to gas is a treat. We are now able to keep things warm over a very low flame much better. The electric didn't do a good job at the lower temperature ranges.
The convection oven is great, especially when we are cooking up something, we want nice and crispy. From tater-tots to pigs-in-a-blanket, everything is cooking up nice and golden brown. Fries & Texas toast cook to perfection. Can't wait to put the over through its paces with a mass holiday cookie baking later on this November or when the wife makes tray after tray of her Chex mix for Christmas. We are really looking forward to utilizing the smart control feature when we're doing the marathon baking as it'll be very useful to have the stove notify us when the timer is up or the oven has preheated.

This is a great upgrade for my or anyone's kitchen who has a gas connection. Compared to my old gas range this gas range has 5 gas stoves. Different sizes and let me tell you somehow they have more power. I am a tea drinker and before it used to take 10 min for me make tea and now it makes Tea in 5 min. The gas force is too good. It comes with a cast iron plate which is heavy and its of great quality and can be used either in the oven or on the gas. So let me tell you what I like the most and don't like

I have been using this range for a good two weeks now and I am very impressed. To start off it looks fantastic. The knobs are sleek and durable. I like the added safety feature of when I lean over it beeps to notify me that I am hitting the knobs. The stainless steel is not really finger proof resistant but this is a minor point. Ki gave away my air fryer and have so much more room on my counters because the convection cooking option crisps my pizza and other leftovers!
I have baked apple crisp, cookies, and a roast and everything came out perfect. I even left the roast in the range in the morning and I turned it on from my phone when I wanted it to start cooking! It totally makes my life easier and looks great too. It is a beautiful range with the cooking ability I demand.
I didn't realize my old oven was lacking so much until I got my new Samsung! It heats quickly and evenly, is esthetically pleasing, and is a showpiece for my kitchen

I really like the way it bakes my cakes. The first thing I made in the oven was a beef roast and it turned out perfect. I love the griddle for making pancakes. It is awesome!
I haven't used the convection yet, but I'm looking forward to using it.
Clean-up of the cooktop is so quick and easy. I'm becoming a cook again! I'm ready to cook that Thanksgiving turkey soon.

I have been using this oven for a few weeks now and it has been fabulous. It looks great and has features that have made other small appliances unnecessary. The non-stick grill is great for fish, burgers, and eggs, while the convection baking feature has allowed for great cakes and crispier pizza. The safety alert when you lean over and accidently hit the knobs is awesome. Cleanup is easy and can't wait to show it off on Thanksgiving. it is the new showpiece to our kitchen.

We received the NX58M9420SS range about two weeks ago and I cannot say enough great things about it. We had an older range that still worked and my husband was skeptical about getting a new one when the old one still worked. He is pleased that I didn't listen to him and got the Samsung range.
Looks-wise, it is absolutely stunning! I love that it is a true slide-in range and that there is no gap between the counter top and range (no food particles can get through!). I also love that it came with a griddle and we have used it multiple times for eggs in the morning.
My favorite thing about the this range is that it is powerful and can bring water to a boil in less than 2 minutes. It is very robust and you can tell that it is a professional range. I have cooked, fried, and baked with this range; it took a little while to get used to just how much more power this stove has as opposed to my old one.
As far as connectivity goes, I connected it to Samsung Smart Things and my favorite feature is that I can see the timer from my phone and can change the oven settings from my phone. I also love that I get notifications when the oven timer goes off.
I would definitely recommend this range and am so happy that I was able to test it out and have the privilege of having it in my kitchen!

Absolutely love this range, from cookies, to pies, to roast beef and more. I am enjoying cooking and baking much more than I ever have. My kids enjoy watching things cook inside, it's so nice to actually be able to watch things cook so good. Everything has come out perfect and even. My oldest used it for a pizza last night and loved it. Pumpkin seeds cooked so quick and even. So I've tried more functions, the self cleaning is amazing, first thing I baked was an apple pie that of course got on the bottoms of the oven but was gone after the self cleaning cycle. I do wish the kitchen timer was louder or that you could control the sound, if I'm not in the kitchen I don't think I would hear it. Child safety lock feature is very nice especially with having a 3 year old. The door of the stove stays room temp and never heats up, you cannot even tell the oven is on!! Love it. I've never had food cook as fast as it does with this range. There are so many more features I'm looking forward to using.

What a sleek designed oven with all the modern features. The Samsung Range is a beauty. A 5.8 cu ft slide in gas range with five burners. The range has six knobs, which five of them operate the burners and the other one is for the oven light. Each burner has its own output, the right front is 17,000 BTU, right rear is 5,000 BTU, center and left rear is 9,500 BTU and the left front is 15,000 Btu. The center burner has a griddle and designed to hold a wok nicely. I like that the burners can accommodate all different sized pots and pans. The oven has a convection fan which is extremely quiet. Inside the oven you have two adjustable racks. The oven features a bake, convection, roast, easy cook, slow cook, dehydrate, bread proof, keep warm, broil, self-cleaning, cooking time, delay timer, start/set & off/clear. With the recessed handle on the bottom draw the range is sleek. The modern design and features of the Samsung Range is an entertainer's dream. It also comes with a propane conversion kit. The touch glass panel responds well. The oven is roomy enough for that Thanksgiving Turkey. The griddle is the perfect spot to cook up some eggs, sausage, pancakes, hot dogs, burgers and more. You can convection cook or old school it and not cook convection. The convection I find cooks the food evenly while using less energy. The delay start feature is nice it allows me to select the time I would like the oven to start cooking. The range top boils water faster. It's 2019 so of course the range has WI-FI connectivity. You will need to download the "APP". You can remotely monitor the cooktop and control the oven all from the app using a smart phone or tablet. The ice blue display color is nice and bright. The child safety lock is a perfect feature. I love the jingle the oven plays when turning it on and off. I do wish the timer was louder. The keep warm function allows me to keep my food warm at 175F until it's time to eat. Samsung appliances are all designed with customers in mind.

I have been so happy with my new Samsung gas range with a convection oven. The stainless-steel appliance has been an excellent addition to our kitchen and is so much better than our older oven.
The appliance esthetics are attractive and modern looking especially with the digital display and Wi-Fi connection. I had to pull out the manual for the oven to figure out the difference in each burner on the range top along with the griddle warmer that was included. I normally am not the person who cooks most of the meals so I am only occasionally using the cooktop or oven.
I do like the fact that the Range cooktop is black and has a non-stick type of coating on it which makes cleaning up much easier. I also like how quick the gas burners turn on and heat up my food. I am waiting on using the oven for a special pasta dish I used to make but need to buy the ingredients. I am sure it will cook faster with the convection oven disbursing the heat more evenly.
I would certainly recommend this Samsung appliance to my friends and family due to the high quality and technology that has been added to it.

My range is just over 1 year old and only a portion of the control panel works. The replacement part is not available from Samsung to fix it. Service is terrible, someone in the Phillipines answered the call and told us they can't do a thing because it's out of warranty. FYI the range has only been used about 9 months because we were not home for 4 months. I would gladly pay for the part and have it repaired but the serviceman could not find the part needed. Also as far as the range is concerned the double ovens don't function well. Upper oven burns items. Lower oven takes longer to cook things. I would strongly suggest another range.

I find the stainless steel top scratches very easily no matter how careful you are. The cast iron grill that goes on top of the burners rusted within a year and the rubber corner pieces on the under side of the grill to protect the grill from scratching the top disintegrated within 3 months.
